OUR PASTOR
After pastoring two churches, one in Maryland and the other in Atlanta, Pastor Evans felt God calling her to begin a new ministry in the Atlanta area. She is the Founder and Senior Pastor of New Jerusalem Christian Church. Her compassion and authenticity flows through every facet of her ministry and enables her to connect intimately with people from all educational, social, generational, and cultural backgrounds while transcending racial and gender barriers. As a Kingdom trailblazer, many have experienced spiritual growth and transformation while under her biblical teachings and tutelage.

Pastor Evans is an energetic and divinely inspired preacher, teacher, pastor and Kingdom visionary. Her contagious enthusiasm and love for God and His people shine through her ability to rightly divide the Word of God while providing relevant and practical biblical truths for everyday life. With over 15 years of ministerial experience, she is grateful to have served in various capacities, such as a counselor, mentor, chaplain, and writer.
Pastor Evans was raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. A veteran of the United States Air Force, she earned her undergraduate degree from Commonwealth College in Virginia and was honored to serve as Class Valedictorian. She holds a Master of Divinity degree from Virginia Union School of Theology in Richmond, Virginia, where she served on the Student Body and graduated with honors. In 2012, she graduated with a Master of Science in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University in Columbia, Maryland.
